The Caxcan were the last indigenous Mexicans to be conquered by the Spaniards. is inspired by the nomadic people that were considered the heart of the Mixtón Rebellion in the 16th century. Cazcanes tequila is based on a centuries-old indigenous recipe that was found in a moonshine still. Its crafted with artesian water from deep underground springs beneath the Cazcanes land and hand-selected blue Weber agaves that grow in volcanic soil. The agave hearts (pi as) are cooked and crushed, then fermented using naturally-occurring yeast, before the juice is distilled using alembic stills.
